Itinerary:
Day 1: Rome, Italy: The Eternal City always opens itself to visitors with great warmth of hospitality. Go ahead; put your hand in La Bocca della Verità near the Tiber River. This is a city for fantastic cuisine, incredible sight-seeing and endless delights. Once you board the ship, you’ll meet your special guest speaker, a Formula One racing expert and your host on this exclusive Grand Prix cruise.
Day 2: Portofino, Italy: Today may be a good day to relax in one of the chic cafés of Portofino. Or, if the adrenalin rush hasn’t quite worn off, climb to Castello Brown, the 15th century castle, and enjoy some transcendent views of the island and sea.
Day 3: Cannes, France: Join the beautiful people in the heart of the French Riviera; shop at exclusive boutiques, and enjoy a chilled Sancerre in an elegant sidewalk café. And keep your eyes open for celebrities. After soaking in the sunshine, go back on board the ship to join your special guest speaker, for more Formula One racing secrets and to receive your Grand Prix gift package.
Day 4: Sanary-Sur-Mer, France: France’s sunniest city, located on the French Riviera, was originally a small fishing village and still is adorned by a large collection of traditional wooden fishing boats. This is the home of a group of local artisan fisherman who sell their catch daily on the pier and where Jacques Cousteau had a residence, the Villa Baobab.
Day 5: Monte Carlo, Monaco: The harbor of Monte Carlo is a magnificent showcase for luxury super yachts. Today, you’ll be escorted to your reserved Section K grandstand seat to watch the exhilarating Grand Prix time trials. As evening arrives, you’ll enjoy a private cocktail reception and dinner in downtown Monte Carlo.
Day 6: Grand Prix, Monaco: Today is the main event. You’ll brunch aboard the ship and then make your way to your Section K grandstand seat for the prestigious Grand Prix of Monaco race in the afternoon.
Day 7: Portoferraio, Italy: Founded by Cosimo I de’ Medici, this lovely spot is best known as Napoleon Bonaparte’s choice for exile, the island of Elba. In fact, you can visit Napoleon’s house while you’re here. Or photograph the imposing Medici fortifications built in the 15th century to protect the city from pirates. After a peaceful day of exploring, join your host for a special Formula One themed cocktail reception and dinner.
Day 8: Rome, Italy: Arrive back in Rome.
